Brush-Up Workshops for Placement

At Highline, we have a variety of ways to place you into math classes: High school transcripts, prior college work, GED scores, and more.

If these methods work for you, bring documents to the Entry Advising Center: Building 6, top floor OR email entryadvising@highline.edu.

If you cannot use one of the methods above you will need to take WAMAP for math placement. Follow the steps below:

1. Take a practice test to refresh your skills and to determine your next steps. You will need to first create an account in WAMAP to practice, prepare, and take a math test.

2. Brush up on math skills by attending a FREE math brush-up Workshop

   Spring Quarter 2024 Sessions:

   Mondays: 5pm-7pm | Zoom link:https://highline.zoom.us/j/7705583520

   Tuesdays: 12:30-2:30p | In-person in Building 3, Room 101.

   Wednesdays: 10am –12pm | Zoom link: https://highline.zoom.us/j/7705583520

3. Visit the Math Resource Center (MRC) for math support

4. Retake WAMAP for your best math placement
