STAMP
The Standards-based Measurement of Proficiency (STAMP) demonstrates proficiency in reading, writing, listening and speaking Foreign Languages. Languages offered: Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese traditional, Chinese Mandarin and Arabic. Based on the proficiency level you demonstrate, you may be able to earn 5-10 World Language credits.
WEST
The Washington Educator Skills Tests (WEST) were established as a uniform means of assessing the basic skills competency and content knowledge of all teacher candidates, as proposed by the governor, legislature, state board of education, and superintendent of public instruction. The WEST program administered by the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson includes assessments of both teacher candidates’ basic skills competency and their content knowledge.
ParaPro Assessment
The ParaPro Assessment measures the skills and knowledge in reading, writing and math possessed by prospective and practicing paraprofessionals. It also measures their ability to apply those skills and knowledge when assisting in classroom instruction. It was designed to satisfy the requirements of the federally legislated No Child Left Behind Act.
